Imperfect Perfection

 

This is more of a novelty shot, but I was really excited when I found it. I’ve always been looking for a ‘fungi shot’ for a while now, because they’re a hidden beauty of nature. They exist in a range of colours, shapes, and complexities.

This may be just a small white toadstool, but I still got excited enough to actually lie down on the wet ground to get this shot.

Beauty is Local

One aspect that I am always upset that never gets its fair representation in photography in Burma, is the local women. With the special Thanakha on their cheeks and the beautiful decoration of their children as they go through the day or to special ceremonies. It really is a beauty of their culture that cannot be compared to another.
