The Burmese religion was one of the great secluded jewels of South East Asia, previous to the start of their democracy. The solemn peacefulness of their acts, particularly by the monks every day, was simply entrancing.

Spectators

Laotian Novice Monks, like many young Buddhist monks throughout South East Asia, spend years learning about Buddhism at their monastery/school until they can become full-fledged monks at the age of 20.

To the outside world we are all strangers. We are not alike. When we visit other countries we look at their culture like we are spectators, but can it be the other way round?
