A week ago I was doing some community service at the Born Free Foundation here in Ethiopia, a brilliant organisation which aims to protect and rehabilitate endangered animals across Africa.
Here in Ethiopia it’s extremely special, as they protect a very important species of lion: the Abyssinian Lion.
These lions are the king of kings, with the trademark black mane on the males which the other lion species do not have. The lion is also the symbol of Ethiopian pride, as well as the original Lion of Judah.
I got to see some of these incredible beasts that day. They are in captivity, behind wire mesh, which made it hard to photograph them. I have never tried to remove foreground obstruction in editing before, so hopefully this one went well to all of you.
This one is for the Born Free Foundation: Keep doing what you do, to help protect these brilliant creatures!
